New York Roastery Shut Down After Fire

A Troy, N.Y., coffee roaster was temporarily shut down after a fire in its roasting facility’s smokestack earlier this week.

According to a report in Albany’s Times Union, Spillin’ the Beans employees were forced to evacuate after a fire was contained in the chimney at approximately 4 p.m. on Dec. 5. The chimney was destroyed and city officials told owner Nick Porsia that he could no longer roast beans in the store.
