As savvy consumers look for varieties of seasonal beans, Brooklyn, N.Y.-based Craft Coffee is offering a subscription service that profiles roasters from throughout the United States.
Since launching six months ago, the company, founded by Michael Horn, has been providing three four-ounce samples from different roasters on a monthly basis. Monthly subscriptions start as low as $19.99.
From Craft Coffee:
We start by hand-selecting premium coffees from small artisan roasters around the country. Then we gather up a group of industry experts and taste dozens of coffees. After some intense debates, only our absolute favorites make it into your monthly tasting box.
For example, January’s sampling included a Cerro El Tigre, El Salvador, coffee from Upland, Calif.-based Klatch Coffee, a Espameyate, La Plata, Huila, Colombia, coffee from Olympia, Wash.’s Olympia Coffee and a Mozonte Region, Nicaragua, coffee from OQ Coffee in New Brunswick, N.J.
