Starbucks Expanding In Europe With Instant Coffee, Cafes

According to reports in several German newspapers, Starbucks has plans to gain a bigger share of the European market by aggressively marketing and selling coffee packs for single-cup brewing, as well as instant coffee.

In Germany alone, Starbucks plans to open as many as 1,000 cafes and retail locations, where now there are currently about 150.

Starbucks Chief Executive Officer Howard Shultz announced the plans to FT Deutschland.
