Some Bay Area coffee specialists with an impressive list of sponsors have formed a new group, Bay Area Coffee Community. BACC plans to introduce itself at the Barista Nation San Francisco event on Jan. 19, hosting a latte art competition.
Here’s a description of the new industry group straight from the BACC website:
The Bay Area Coffee Community is a collection of coffee professionals aiming to share our passion for specialty coffee with our neighbors who make the Bay Area wonderful.
In 2013, we will host a series of events that promote community, dialogue between purveyor and consumer and celebrate sustainability.
To launch our event series and applaud our industry, the Bay Area Coffee Community will host the Bay Area Coffee Community Latte Art Competition Season. As the year unfolds, we will work together to grow our community and expand our event series.
The goal is collaboration and understanding. Please, join us.
