Portland Roasting Coffee, winner of Roast Magazine’s 2012 Macro Roaster of the Year Award, has been selected as the backstage coffee for the 85th annual Academy Awards, airing this Sunday night on ABC.
The company will be providing its organic Tanager’s Song blend, as well as its Swiss Water Process Vienna blend decaf, in the green room.
“We’re thrilled to be involved in this year’s ceremony,” Mark Stell, managing partner and co-founder of Portland Roasting Coffee, said in a company announcement. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to share our coffee with some of the biggest names in entertainment while keeping the energy level at the ceremony high.”
Portland Roasting Coffee recently won its own Oscar of the specialty food world, taking home a 2013 Gold Seal Good Food Award for its organic Ethiopian Sidamo.
