Eden-Marie Abramowicz from Intelligentsia’s Silver Lake (Los Angeles) Coffeebar beat out some 35 competitors this past weekend in winning the Southwest Regional Barista Competition in Santa Cruz, Calif.
The SWRBC was the final regional competition presented by the Barista Guild of America (BGA), an official trade guild of the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA). The United States Barista Championship will coincide with the SCAA’s annual Event, taking place April 11-14 in Boston.
