Unpacking Coffee with Kandace and Ray: London’s Caravan Coffee Roasters

In this week’s episode of Unpacking Coffee, Kandace and Ray explore the skillfully executed and typographically rich branding of London, England-based roastery Caravan Coffee Roasters.

Founded by three New Zealanders in 2010, the roastery was first established to supply Caravan’s initial East London restaurant, but has since grown to occupy a larger production space inside a converted grain mill at a second restaurant in King’s Cross.

Caravan head of operations Michael Logue told Kandace and Ray that the company has yet again outgrown its roasting space, and plans to move operations into an 8,500-square-foot Victorian Warehouse (location not yet disclosed) following an extensive buildout later this year.

Unpacking Coffee is a weekly show discovering new coffee roasters one episode at a time led by Kandace and Ray of the Portland-based studio Needmore Designs, which specializes in coffee, wine and lifestyle brands.
