David Myers of Ann Arbor, Mich.-based roaster/retailer Mighty Good Coffee and Tony Auger of the Volcafe specialty coffee trading wing Genuine Origin have been elected to the Specialty Coffee Association Roasters Guild Executive Council.

Myers and Auger will join incumbents Jen Apodaca (Royal Coffee), Joe Marrocco (Cafe Imports), Steven Lee (Groundwork Coffee & Tea), and Anne Cooper (Equilibrium Master Roasters) on the 12-member executive council with two-year terms beginning immediately following the SCA Global Specialty Coffee Expo in Seattle in April.

As the SCA’s official roasting trade guild, the Roasters Guild has seen increased participation in recent years, adding educational opportunities to its annual RG Retreat, an annual Sensory Summit, and hosting online discussions for members called “Trierside Chats.”
