A Seattle-based cloud texting startup has created a coffee machine that takes orders and automatically brews coffee drinks upon text message instructions. Composed of some 300 parts inside what is essentially a hacked Ikea cabinet, the “textspresso” can brew coffee and cappuccino-based drinks according to the texter’s command.
The machine is the brainchild of Seattle-based cloud texting startup Zipwhip. It was designed by the small company to show off Zipwhip’s cloud texting platform, which allows people to receive texts on their tablets or computers. In this video provided by GeekWire, Zipwhip CEO John Lauer shows off the textspresso machine.
