The chairman and CEO of Concord, N.C.-based S&D Coffee says the company aims to become a billion dollar business that will hire as many as 200 new employees over the next five years.
Ron Hinson, who completely took over the coffee roasting and distribution giant late last year after the passing of Roy Davis, recently told the Charlotte Observer that S&D is planning a to build a new $35 million multipurpose plant. Meanwhile, a $27.5 million renovation of the company’s Concord headquarters began last month.
“Our goal is to be a billion-dollar company in the next few years, and that’s why we’re needing to expand,” Hinson told the Observer.
S&D, which supplies restaurants and retail locations throughout the United States through 38 warehouses and distribution centers, has not yet announced a location for the new multipurpose plant.
