Describing themselves as “veteran domainers,” a pair of entrepreneurs have launched a new online tea marketplace, herbaltea.com.
Larry Fischer and Bill McClure announced the launch of the company this morning. Fischer owns the domain and McClure owns a national online coffee distribution company, www.Coffee.org. McClure’s team sourced the teas.
The new e-commerce site was built on the Enterprise Magento platform, designed for ease of operation and the scalability to serve thousands of customers this next year. The company is offering more than 100 tea varieties, including organic looseleaf teas.
Coffee.org, formed in 2008, sells to more than 45,000 customers nationwide. The company contracts to roast, stocks and ships over 500 coffee-related products from their warehouse in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Fischer classifies himself as a generic domain expert, and he has had a hand in deals for domains such as Home.com, Autoparts.com, Stocks.com, Design.com and Nursing.com.
“Partnering with Larry for HerbalTea.com is an extraordinary opportunity to create a strong brand and provide tea lovers with an easy way to shop and compare their favorite gourmet tea online,” McClure said in an announcement of the new venture.
