The influential technology blog Gizmodo is helping the friends and family members of coffee lovers with their holiday shopping. The blog has compiled its list of “Fresh-Ground Gifts for a Coffee Nerd’s Superior Palate.” 

Gizmodo contributor Michael Hession did qualify the list — which includes a Hario V60 cone, a Baratza Virtuoso Grinder, single-origin subscriptions from Counter Culture and Intelligentsia, and an Aerobie Aeropress, among other sweet home brewing goodies — with the following backhanded compliment:

Yeah, the rise of artisanal coffee represents yet another insufferable trend of snobby uber-cool types everywhere. But the fact is, a delicious cup of quality coffee is truly just a GREAT thing.
