Serving Sightglass Coffees, Drip’d Coffee Opens in San Francisco

Drip'd Coffee opens in San Francisco's Inner Sunset

Drip’d Coffee owners Tae Kim and Chris Morell

A new high-end coffee bar, Drip’d Coffee, has opened in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset neighborhood, at 1352 9th Ave. Owners Chris Morell and Tae Kim got $3,800-plus in seed money to open the shop from a February Kickstarter campaign.

Using a refurbished La Marzocco GS/2, Drip’d is serving coffees from San Francisco’s Sightglass Coffee. Morell and Kim also plan to lead coffee and espresso workshops, beginning with a home-espresso-making workshop on Saturday, June 1. Here’s more from the owners on Drip’d’s community focus:

This isn’t solely about profit, but truly for our personal love and drive to create a personal experience with each customer and the community. DRIP’D is a retail space share, which we think is awesome. We operate in 2/3 of the ground-floor retail space, while Green11 uses the rest of the space. We love what Green11 brings to the community, a place within the community to conserve resources.
