La Colombe Planning Roastery Distillery Combo for Philadelphia

Philadelphia-based La Colombe has plans for a new facility in a mixed-use Philly neighborhood, including a new roastery and a branded micro distillery.

The roastery/retailer’s founder Todd Carmichael, who has gained widespread notoriety as the thrill-seeking host of the Travel Channel show “Dangerous Grounds,” recently told Eater Philadelphia that the address for the new facility will be 1335-1349 Frankford Avenue, which currently encompasses three warehouses.

In addition to increased coffee roasting operations, Carmichael says La Colombe has the go-ahead to distill its own branded rum, with other spirits in the works.
