Maui Coffee Roasters, which has operated a coffee roastery and cafe on Hawaii’s second-largest island for 32 years, has opened a drive-through shop in Spokane, Wash. The new store is one of several Maui Coffee Roasters retail locations planned for the Pacific Northwest in the coming years, the company has announced.
“We look forward to sharing our roasting expertise and the true flavors of the islands with Mainland customers,” MCR president Michael Okazaki says. “By doing so, we hope to enhance the image of Hawaiian coffees throughout the Western United States.”
The Hawaiian coffee company’s expansion is in partnership with an affiliated company, going by the name Maui Coffee Roasters USA. This is its second offshore operation. It also operates a retail store in Tokyo. All of the coffee used in the new Northwest locations will be roasted in the company’s Kahului headquarters.
