Grants Pass, Ore.-based drive-through chain Dutch Bros. raised $176,922 for charities benefiting children during its annual “Buck for Kids” day earlier this month.
All 213 locations participated in the drive, with local owner-operators selecting a children’s cause of their choice. Recipients included Boys & Girls Clubs and toy collection organizations. The Buck for Kids program is part of the company’s larger commitment to donating $1 million-plus annually to charitable causes. This year’s Buck for Kids drive eclipsed last year’s fundraising mark by more than $37,000.
“We’re really fortunate we get to use Dutch Bros. as a force for good,” says President and Co-Founder Travis Boersma. “We try to do all we can to help kids live better lives.”
