Cafe Brioso, a roastery and cafe that has become a downtown Columbus, Ohio, staple over the past 13 years, is hoping to dramatically increase its production capacity and double its retail presence with the opening of a new headquarters this winter.
The Brioso team says the new facility in the Discovery District will have an open floor plan, open cupping and laboratory areas and a fully viewable roastery, all with the idea of connecting consumers and Brioso’s wholesale clients to coffee production.

Brioso owner and roastmaster Jeff Davis says the new roastery will allow for greater roasting capacity, as well as new training and education opportunities with new and existing wholesale clients. In connection with the new facility, Cafe Brioso plans to launch a new brand concept, Brioso Coffee, which Davis says will be based on “customer-specific roasting.”
Brioso is currently raising funds for the new digs through the crowd-funding platform Fundable.
