Continuing to caffeinate in some of Los Angeles’ most well-heeled enclaves, roaster/retailer Caffe Luxxe has opened a new location in downtown Brentwood.
The opening is actually a bit of a return for Luxxe, as the company previously served the neighborhood from within the historic Barry Building since 2008 before evacuating the shop a year ago with a demolition forthcoming.
“We’ve missed all of our friends in Brentwood dearly since our departure from the beloved Barry Building last year,” Caffe Luxxe Owners Mark Wain and Gary Chau said in an announcement of the opening this month. “We are especially grateful to those who’ve been willing to travel a bit further to our other locations since then to remain loyal Caffe Luxxe coffee drinkers.”
Joining other L.A. small boutique chains Sugarfish and SoulCycle in the Brentwood Town and Country shopping center on San Vicente Blvd, the shop constitute’s Luxxe’s fourth retail location. The original location opened in Santa Monica over a decade ago, and earlier this year, the company opened a snug shop with outdoor seating off the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. The company soon also expects to open in Montecito.
All of Luxxe’s coffee passes through its Los Angeles production roastery, dubbed Il Laboratorio di Caffe Luxxe. To celebrate the Brentwood return, Luxxe has released a limited-edition San Vicente blend, featuring a coffees from the Santa Maria De Dota and Dota Tarrazú regions in Costa Rica, as well as from farms from Huehuetenango in Guatemala from whom Luxxe has sourced coffee for years.
Caffe Luxxe Brentwood is now open at 11640 San Vicente Blvd.
