Two dozen high-quality, traceable specialty green coffees are going up for public auction next week in the annual Grounds for Health auction.

The auction is taking place June 14-15. Registration is free for buyers.

Now in its 15th year, the event serves as an important annual fundraiser for the Vermont-based nonprofit Grounds for Health, which has been working since 1996 to lead cervical cancer screening and prevention services in coffee-growing regions in parts of Latin America and Africa.

Each year, importers and roasters from throughout the United States generously donate green coffees for the fundraiser, offering specialty coffee roasters a chance to purchase a small volume of high-quality beans while promoting the public health cause.

There is also a small selection of related professional coffee equipment up for auction.

The range of available coffees is vast, reflecting a wide variety of coffee origins and post-harvest processing methods. Starting bids on the beans range from $2.25 to $10.

Auction registration information and FAQs are available here.
