24 US Roasters Named Finalists for 2024 Good Food Awards

Good Food Awards

Now in its 14th year of celebrating the makers of specialty food and drink products in the United States, the Good Food Foundation has announced the list of finalists for the 2024 Good Food Awards.

Seventeen different roasted coffees from 16 different U.S. roasters took home Good Food Awards in 2023. Now, 24 roasting companies representing 14 different states have been named as 2024 finalists. The coffee roasters join nearly 300 other companies in the running for Good Food Awards, which will be announced April 29 at a ceremony in Portland, Oregon.

“These exceptional producers have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to not only creating extraordinary flavors but also to sustainable practices, supporting their communities, and fostering transparency throughout their supply chains,” Good Food Foundation Executive Director Sarah Weiner said in the finalists announcement. “This year’s Finalists are true leaders in the good food movement.”

Among all the categories, coffee remains distinct in that it is composed of a single natural ingredient — green coffee — that is produced overseas (with the possible exceptions of California or Hawaii). Thus, unlike other food categories in the awards program, the coffee program prizes diversity in coffee origins, as well as factors such as roasted coffee quality and sustainable sourcing initiatives.
