Roast Summit Heading to Melbourne in March

Roast Summit Melbourne

Roast Summit Melbourne will be held at the Better Building Exchange and Project 281 in Brunswick, Melbourne.

Roast magazine, which has published educational content for coffee roasters for over 20 years, will reach a new audience in Australia with the first-ever international Roast Summit.

The two-day networking and educational event for coffee roasters will be held in Melbourne, Australia, March 18-19, 2025.

Roast Summit Melbourne will bring together coffee roasting professionals for an immersive experience in the art and science of roasting. Hosted by Anne Cooper of Equilibrium Master Roasters in Melbourne, the event will feature two days of insightful discussions, workshops, and networking with coffee industry leaders in which attendees will learn new techniques and expand their knowledge.

Roast magazine Founder and Publisher Connie Blumhardt started Roast Summit in 2020 with the goal of building community for coffee roasters, and has held the event both in-person and online.

“Every in-person Roast Summit has sold out and the free online events had close to 2,500 people register from all over the world, the response has been amazing. We know that roasters are looking for this type of educational, networking event and we’re thrilled to bring it to Australia along with Anne Cooper,” Blumhardt said. “Anne is very knowledgeable and a great teacher, we couldn’t ask for a better partner.”

Equilibrium Master Roasters Founder Anne Cooper will lead several sessions at the event.

“Based on my own awesome experience of having both presented at and attended Roast Summit in the United States since 2021, I wanted to bring that same event spirit that I experienced to roasters in Australia. Roast Summit is a fabulous opportunity to network with and be around other roasting peers, especially as we navigate these testing times!” Cooper said.

Sessions will include a discussion and workshop on the Coffee Value Assessment (CVA) program, a green coffee panel discussion, a spotlight on Australian coffee producers and a roasting fundamentals workshop. The event will be held at the Better Building Exchange and Project 281 in Brunswick, Melbourne on March 18-19, 2025. Registration is $260USD for the two-day event. Registration is open at https://www.roastmagazine.com/roastsummit/events/2025-melbourne.

Sponsors of the event include Loring, Equilibrium Master Roasters, Cafe Imports and Cropster.
