Taiwanese brand Syncfo recently unveiled a new Pro model of its green and roasted coffee analyzer, adding dry coffee cherry and parchment coffee to the analysis mix.

The Syncfo Universal Coffee Analyzer Professional Version 2 includes the standard version’s capability to simultaneously analyze the moisture, density, color score and color temperature of green or roasted coffee.

The new version additionally measures the moisture and density of dry coffee cherry and parchment coffee, while offering a new physical design and some under-the-hood upgrades to enable interaction with a forthcoming Syncfo mobile app.

“This upgrade allows for a more seamless integration of data gathered by the analyzer with our upcoming app, scheduled to launch in March 2025,” Qualib Mohamoud, global media coordinator for Syncfo, told Daily Coffee News. “The Pro version is designed to offer deeper insights and more precise data handling, making it a powerful tool for users seeking advanced functionality.”

All Syncfo devices also currently ship with a Bluetooth-connected label printer for record keeping and labeling.

The mobile app will not replace the printers, but will work in conjunction with them. Syncfo sees a continued benefit of immediate hardcopy printouts of the Analyzer’s results for organizational purposes in labs and in the field.

Syncfo’s New Taipei City-based parent company Krator Technology was founded in 2017 by Leo Chang and John Hu with the aim of developing modern, multifunctional tools for the coffee industry. Krator launched the Syncfo brand and the original Analyzer in 2018, with the device going on to win a Best New Product award at the 2019 World of Coffee event in Berlin a few months later. Global sales are handled directly by the company via its website.

“We’ve made several enhancements, including refining its accuracy and user interface to better meet the needs of our customers,” Mohamoud told DCN of Syncfo’s progress since 2019. “We are continually innovating. I’m excited to tease that our next product — a coffee scale with a unique Syncfo twist — will be launching in June 2025 in Geneva.”
