Italian coffee grinder manufacturer Fiorenzato recently added to its grind-by-weight commercial grinder lineup with the F83 E Sense and F83 E Pro Sense.
Part of Fiorenzato’s on-demand line of grinders, the two models of the E83 E Sense are identical, save for the Pro version’s removable grind chamber that simplifies cleaning and maintenance while maintaining settings.
Both include Fiorenzato’s proprietary Sense technology, designed to optimize motor cutoff timing to accurately hit dosage weight. Shock-absorbing floating load cells integrated into the F83 portafilter forks maintain that accuracy down to 0.1 grams, even on uneven or rattling surfaces, according to the company.
The grinders are currently priced at €2,300 ($2,488 USD, as of this writing) for the E Sense, and €2,550 ($2,578) for the E Pro Sense.
Users can program three different doses via the machines’ large, full-color touchscreen displays, through which data such as usage statistics and burr status are also accessible. The grinders feature two modes of operation, on-demand and “Master Mode,” the latter featuring portafilter recognition that automatically switches to the correct dose and fineness.
Flat 83-millimeter stainless steel burrs in both machines are treated to Fiorenzato’s Dark-T carbon-based coating for a longer lifespan, and both are designed to keep up with demand in high-volume professional cafe settings, according to the company.
Fiorenzato first introduced Sense technology in 2023 with the home/prosumer model, the AllGround Sense. The new machines join Fiorenzato’s lineup of Sense-equipped commercial grinders alongside the F64 EVO Sense and F64 EVO Pro Sense models, which launched just eight months ago.
With their more powerful motors and longest-lasting burrs, the F83 models expand the top of the line. Fiorenzato Marketing Manager Silvia Tracogna told Daily Coffee News the company will also continue incorporating the Sense into future grinders.
“We recognize the immense value this technology brings in terms of precision, consistency, and user experience, aligning perfectly with our commitment to innovation,” Tracogna told DCN. “As we continue to develop and refine our product range, integrating advanced solutions like Sense remains a key focus to further enhance the coffee grinding experience.”
The first F83 grinders for customers in the United States are slated to reach North American shores in April. Machines are available to order immediately in Glossy Red finish as well as black, white and gray colors either glossy or matte.
“Fiorenzato is committed to staying at the forefront of coffee grinding technology innovation,” said Tracogna. “Our focus is on continuously improving performance, precision, and user experience to meet the evolving needs of baristas and coffee professionals worldwide. A dedicated team is actively working on new developments, analyzing market trends, and exploring cutting-edge solutions to ensure our future products set new benchmarks in the industry.”
