The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of approximately 17,600 single-serve coffee makers sold by a Chinese-owned brand called Kidisle, with at least 27 reported injuries, including first- and second-degree burns requiring medical treatment.
The CPSC issued the recall on June 11. The agency is aware of at least 107 incident reports involving the machines. At issue are internal blockages that can cause hot liquid or steam to build up and release unexpectedly during use, posing a serious burn hazard.
The recall covers the Kidisle KC101B hot and iced single-serve coffee maker, a black, white and gray machine measuring approximately 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide, with a 50-ounce detachable water tank capable of brewing 6 to 14 ounces of ground or pod-style coffee. The model number KC101B appears on a sticker on the underside of the unit. The machines were sold on Amazon, Walmart Ebay between June 2024 and April 2026 for approximately $49.
The remedy is a full refund. Consumers have been instructed to stop using the machine immediately, unplug it and cut the power cord, write “Recalled” in permanent marker on the unit, then send a photograph of the destroyed product — with the model number and cut cord both visible — to [email protected].
Both the importer and manufacturer of the recalled machines are China-based entities. The importer is listed in the CPSC filing as Kidisle, of China. The manufacturer is identified as “ChangShaShiMengQiSiDianZiShangMaoYouXianGongSi,” which can be rendered in English as Changsha Mengqisi E-Commerce Co., Ltd.
Public trademark records show Kidisle-branded appliance marks connected to an individual named Bing Lu in China. One KIDISLE registration covering electric coffee machines was registered in 2021 and now lists Bing Lu as the current owner, while a separate KIDISLE registration covering coffee grinders, milk frothers and other small appliances was registered in November 2025 with first use in commerce listed as June 23, 2024. The CPSC notice does not identify Bing Lu as the importer or manufacturer of the recalled machines.
A website using the Kidisle name currently markets Kidisle coffee makers, grinders, milk frothers, nut-milk makers and other kitchen appliances, including hot-and-iced single-serve coffee makers.
