The World Coffee Innovation Summit is returning to London this fall, with the two-day event scheduled for Oct. 21-22 at the QEII Centre.
Organized by the World Coffee Alliance, the fourth edition of the event will carry the theme “Moving the Needle: Securing Scalable Coffee & Cocoa Resilience,” reflecting an expanded focus on the overlapping challenges facing the coffee and cocoa sectors.
“Resilience is no longer simply a cost of doing business — it is becoming a competitive advantage,” World Coffee Alliance Co-Founder and CEO Joseph de Villiers said in an announcement of the event. “To move the needle, our sector must move beyond fragmented initiatives and scale practical solutions that deliver measurable value for businesses, producers and the landscapes they depend on.”
Organizers are expecting more than 200 attendees from more than 25 countries, with more than 60 speakers and at least 75% of attendees at the C-suite, vice president or director level.
Confirmed speakers include representatives from World Bank Group, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Ecom Agroindustrial Corp, Louis Dreyfus Company, Neumann Gruppe, Volcafe, Ofi, Barry Callebaut Group, Ferrero, Google, Standard Chartered and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Additional speaker confirmations and program details are expected in the coming months.
The summit will also include curated coffee tastings and a limited-capacity networking reception at the House of Lords.
Early bird registration is listed through July 31, with the event website showing early rates of £895 for NGO, government, producer/cooperative and academic passes; £1,095 for corporate passes; £995 for startup passes; and £1,495 for technology and service providers.
The London-based World Coffee Alliance describes itself as an independent, neutral platform designed to convene stakeholders and senior leaders throughout the coffee and cocoa industries. The Summit is the organization’s flagship activity.
