Green coffee importer Hacea Coffee Source has moved its Southern California headquarters from Anaheim to a larger warehouse in Brea, adding green coffee storage, an expanded cupping lab and additional office space.
The company completed the two-week move from its 1,800-square-foot Anaheim warehouse to the 3,100-square-foot Brea facility over the summer.
“It was a lot of work,” Hacea Coffee Source Co-Owner and Director of Coffee Jared Hales told Daily Coffee News. “We still have a lot of settling in to do, but permitting is the longer process.”
Brothers Jared and Luke Hales founded Hacea in 2020 from a 900-square-foot Anaheim facility, expanding into an adjoining space in 2023. The company also keeps green coffee at third-party warehouses.
The company maintains wholesale accounts, while also directly offering smaller quantities — including 2-kilogram packages and 20-kilogram GrainPro-lined bags — to smaller commercial roasters, home roasters or hobbyists. The company’s current offer list includes green coffees from throughout Latin America, East Africa and India.
Beyond increased storage and working space for the company’s continued growth, the Brea facility gives Hacea substantially more room for its coffee education programs.
“We are already planning new classes and in-person events now that we have the square footage to do it,” Hales said. “The additional green coffee storage allows us to bring in even more coffee from the third-party warehouses, keeping plenty of inventory available for local roasters to pick up or receive on their recurring local deliveries.”
The company has added fulfillment staff in Brea, while remote representatives continue to work from Austin, Texas, and Portland, Oregon.
Hacea has already hosted its Coffee 101 and Coffee 201 classes at the Brea facility, along with a public cupping. The company is also planning an in-person roasting competition for February 2027 in collaboration with Aillio, with additional details yet to be announced.
“We are really excited to host guests with more educational classes and events,” Jared Hales said. “This move was long overdue, but we wanted to take our time to find the perfect building for our needs to continue serving the roasting community.”
