A growing coffee business in Milwaukee plans to move and expand its roasting operations, while adding a second retail location.
According to a recent Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report, Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. owner Matthew McClutchy says increased business is demanding the move from Milwaukee’s Bay View area — where he has run a 10,000-square-foot facility for six years — to a renovated 24,000-square-foot roasting facility in the Walker’s Point neighborhood.
McClutchy is seeking a $360,000 loan from the Milwaukee Economic Development Corp., which is banking on the concept that the project could add 10 full-time and 10 part-time jobs.
McClutchy says the growing number of wholesale accounts is the primary driver of the expansion. Anodyne has been operating in Milwaukee for 13 years.
