Seattle’s Best today unveiled its new small footprint drive-through and walk-up model. The first store will debut in Seattle’s SODO neighborhood, and the company will introduce the model to additional markets throughout 2013.
The stores occupy less than 600 square feet, representing a 65 percent smaller footprint than Seattle’s Best’s typical retail locations.
“Customers are demanding better coffee everywhere they go and we believe we’ve cracked the code on how to deliver a premium cup of coffee in the fast lane at just the right price,” Jim McDermet, senior vice president and general manager of Seattle‟s Best Coffee, said in an announcement. “We have completely overhauled our store concept both inside and out.”
The concept will also include a revamped drink and food menu that will include items like egg breakfast sandwiches, “dessert-inspired” coffee drinks such as “Birthday Cake Lattes” and combo meals. As for coffee, Seattle’s Best says, “Brewed coffee gets upgraded to a fully customized experience, offering either original or dark blend and free flavored creamers.”
