Brazil’s Agriculture Ministry announced today that the 2012 coffee harvest — which mostly occurs between April and September — is the country’s highest in 10 years.
The production estimate is 50.8 million bags, down from 43.5 million bags last year, according to a Reuters report, which also said that the country’s arabica production rose 19 percent over last year to 38.3 million bags.
Brazil is the world’s largest arabica producer.
