CEO and Co-Founder Todd Carmichael

goes into some detail about how the coffee company produced its Haitian Typica coffee.

Carmichael discusses how Haitian coffee was once a staple in America, but how economic forces there have until very recently all but dashed the country’s output. He describes how La Colombe found the Typica varietal growing wild in a now rare shade-covered part of the island.
