, an official trade guild of the Specialty Coffee Association of America, has announced the results of its annual executive council elections. Colleen Anunu of Gimme! Coffee
and Joe Marrocco of Café Imports join the Guild for the first time, while Bob Arceneaux of Orleans Coffee Exchange and Sevan Istanboulian of Mystique Coffee were re-elected to two year terms.
The new members will be inaugurated at the annual SCAA Event in Boston
in April.
“The Roasters Guild community is thriving and as strong as it has ever been,” says Phil Beattie, current chairman of the Roasters Guild Executive Committee and Director of Coffee at Dillanos Coffee Roasters, adding that there are now more than 500 members in the Guild. “The Guild has been growing very quickly in the past years and our educational courses and materials are being taught around the world.”
The 13th Annual Roasters Guild Retreat is scheduled for Aug. 15-18 at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia.
