Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer has signed a deal with North Andover, Mass.-based Comfort Foods Inc., which will roast, package and distribute his Rockin’ and Roastin’ coffee line.
Kramer launched Rockin’ and Roastin’ brand last year, offering online retail sales of single-origin roasted beans from Sumatra, Guatemala and Ethiopia. Bolstered by Comfort Foods’ 49,000-square-foot production facility, the rocker hopes to sell the whole bean coffees to wholesale channels, as well as grocers and retailers.
The Comfort Foods deal will also involve revamping the Rockin’ and Roastin’ brand and packaging, including a new website. Led by CEO Steve Beattie, Comfort Foods has been roasting and packaging specialty coffees for more than 20 years. The company is known for its Harmony Bay coffee line.
The terms of the deal were not announced.
