Hilton, which operates the Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree and Embassy Suites hotel brands, told the Los Angeles Times that the in-room brewing deal will not affect any existing coffee retail relationships inside the hotels.
Hilton had been using in-room coffee from suppliers including Starbucks and Wolfgang Puck in its new North American Hotels. But the chain has been working more closely with Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in recent months. Coffee Bean now has a signature blend for Hilton guests, and it opened its first retail location in the Washington D.C. market inside a Hilton hotel in February.
