Atlanta roastery and retailer Octane Coffee is planning to open a new retail outpost this Spring in Buckhead’s Atlanta Tech Village (ATV), a 100,000-plus-square-foot business incubator for emerging technology companies.
Octane currently has two Atlanta locations, as well as a Birmingham, Ala., bar inside a Westin. The company also has plans with its bakery partner, Little Tart Bakeshop, to open in a new Atlanta culinary mall. ATV says the new Octane bar will be on the lobby level, with street signage and access to a sprawling outdoor patio. Octane is currently looking for staff to fill the spot.
Created last year, ATV says it now has more than 300 members representing 900 companies, with the goal of helping to make the city a top five technology center in the United States. Here is more from ATV on its upcoming plans:
In spring 2014, Atlanta Tech Village will add an Octane coffee bar, 300-person rooftop deck, a state of the art 400-person conference center among other new building facilities. With the goal of creating a complete ecosystem and a truly connected community, the Village also houses key investors like Atlanta Technology Angels and several other venture capital firms alongside startups in the healthcare IT, marketing automation, social media engagement and cloud-based technology fields.
