Perc Coffee, the roastery that has been steadily elevating coffee locally in Savannah, Georgia, and farther afield through its many wholesale accounts, is for the first time introducing a public retail element.
As its name implies, The Shop at Perc is fitting inside the front room of the roastery, at 1802 East Broad Street, offering a simple menu designed to highlight the company’s roasts. Perc’s Taylor Wyrosdick will be at the helm of the shop, offering “espresso + milk” in 3- or 6-ounce sizes, pourover coffees in 10- or 20-ounce sizes, a nitro cold brew and a special drink. “The Special will be a rotating offering of whatever Taylor comes up with for the week,” Perc’s Jon Chandler told Daily Coffee News.
To create the drinks, Wyrosdick will be handling a La Marzocco GB5 2 EE for espresso, and pourovers will flow through Chemexes, Hario V60s and Kalita Waves.
For a little extra grand opening pizzaz, Perc will be offering all drinks for $1 between 10 a.m. to noon during the shop’s August 1 opening day.
