California-based roasting machine maker Loring has announced the appointment of longtime business development executive Gordon Tredger as president, as the company continues to expand its global distribution and sales efforts.
Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Tredger has taken on various leadership roles over the past decades for companies in various industries, including recently serving as president of solar energy at Fort Collins, Colorado-based Advanced Energy, and as vice president of analytical instruments at Palo Alto, California-based medical equipment maker Varian.
“In his past experiences, Tredger has built an impressive track record of strategic, operational and commercial accomplishments,” Loring executive board chairperson Carl Finwall said in an announcement of Tredger’s appointment. “The Board unanimously agrees that his proven leadership experience, coupled with his strategic thinking and proven ability to deliver results, make him the right person to execute Loring’s strategic priorities and drive sustainable growth.”
That growth has recently involved a deal made with Shanghai Fortunecaffe last year for distribution in China, a major upgrade to the control systems on all Loring models, and the appointment of Henry Perez as the company’s director of engineering.
Tredger replaces outgoing Loring president Bob Austin, who is remaining on the company’s board of directors, a company spokesperson told Daily Coffee News.
