As sure as the earth has completed another full revolution around the sun, Unpacking Coffee has officially launched Season 3, exploring some of the world’s most illuminated coffee packaging design and the creative companies behind it.
We’re thrilled to again be partnering with Unpacking Coffee creators Needmore Designs to present this series, which this season will include a more intent focus on the voices of the roasters themselves, dazzling 4K video as opposed to ol’ humdrum standard HD, and more original music from the Needmore sonic factory. And of course, we can expect even more awkward silences from the irreverent but always lovable hosts, Kandace and Ray.
Without further ado, Season 3’s first episode focuses on Portland favorite Junior’s Roasted Coffee. We last checked in with Junior’s upon the opening of the owners’ first full-fledged cafe, Guilder, which was delightfully inspired by “The Princess Bride” while offering customers great coffee with transparent pricing information.
Here, K-Ray sits down with Junior’s Roasted and Guilder Co-Founders and Owners Caryn and Mike Nelson, as well as designer Elizabeth Chai:
Unpacking Coffee is a show discovering new coffee roasters one episode at a time led by Kandace and Ray of the Portland-based studio Needmore Designs, which specializes in coffee, wine and lifestyle brands.
