Coffee Fest organizer Clarion Events Food & Beverage has announced that the Coffee Fest New York trade show originally scheduled to take place next March has been rescheduled for July 18-20 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The show will take place in conjunction with the Clarion-produced 2021 International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York and the Healthy Food Expo NY at the Javits Center in Manhattan.
“Considering both governmental direction and general public health advisories, a large face-to-face event is not possible at this time with the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the government issued guidelines throughout the State of New York,” Clarion Events Food & Beverage Group Vice President Tom Loughran said in an announcement of the decision yesterday.
Numerous other Coffee Fest in-person events are currently scheduled to take place in the coming year, including Coffee Fest San Antonio (June 18-19), Coffee Fest Anaheim (Aug. 22-24), and Coffee Fest PNW in Portland (Nov. 5-6).
In the meantime, Clarion Events has pivoted Coffee Fest and its other food-and-beverage events fully into the digital event and education sphere, offering bi-monthly digital forums on retail industry needs and trends such as menu development, online ordering and marketing.
Clarion Events is also planning a 2021 launch of Coffee Fest 365, which the group described as “a membership platform designed to keep the specialty coffee community connected with a searchable directory, on-demand webinars and live online training events, a community discussion forum, and additional resources.”
