Roast Magazine Announces $5,000 Small Business Grant

Roast small business grant

Roast magazine is pleased to announce a grant for a small business in the coffee industry making an impact through business.

The grant is open to any small business with 100 employees or less with at least two years in the coffee industry (roastery, cafe or other coffee-related business) driven to make an impact by creating opportunities for employees, innovating with technology, committing to equity and diversity in the coffee industry, developing sustainable practices, or some other strategy.

One business will receive a $5,000 cash grant and a feature in Roast and Daily Coffee News.

“We’ve been publishing Roast since 2004,” says Connie Blumhardt, the founder and publisher of Roast. “Our success has always been driven by the support of amazing companies and people in the coffee industry. We want to give more back, and to help bring life to projects benefitting our industry that might not get off the ground otherwise.”

The grant application is open now and includes a written response and video component. The application and rules are available at roastmagazine.com/grant. The deadline for submissions is March 4, 2022.
