New Executive Leadership at LA’s Go Get Em Tiger
Eater Los Angeles this week reported on several changes afoot for local high-end coffee chain Go Get Em Tiger, including the appointment of former GGET COO Elena Ceridono as CEO. The news outlet reported that GGET Co-Founder Kyle Glanville was stepping down as CEO while taking on the new position as head of concept and brand. The company, including sibling brand G&B, currently has eight coffee shop locations throughout the Los Angeles market.
Quentin Tarantino Opens Pam Grier-Themed Coffee Shop
Movie director Quentin Tarantino has opened a coffee shop based loosely on the 1973 movie “Coffy” staring Pam Grier. Grier played the lead role in the Tarantino movie “Jackie Brown.” According to Eater Los Angeles, coffee for the shop comes from Southern California’s Jones Coffee Roasters.
Saudi Arabia Joins International Coffee Agreement
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia joined the International Coffee Agreement (ICA) 2022 at the International Coffee Organization (ICO) headquarters in London last week. The agreement is designed to promote a more prosperous and sustainable coffee sector.
Registration Opens for World of Coffee in Copenhagen
Visitor registration is now open for the 2024 World of Coffee trade show in Copenhagen, Denmark. Taking place June 27-29, the event is produced by the Specialty Coffee Association.
Westrock Coffee Adding RTD and Milk-Based Production Capability
Westrock Coffee Company signed a letter of intent with the production cooperative Select Milk Producers for a joint venture for an aseptic bottle facility at a Select Milk property in Littlefield, Texas. The coffee company is also adding to its RTD production capabilities in Arkansas.
Software Provider Toast and Caribou Sign 500-Store Deal
Boston-based restaurant management software provider Toast announced it signed a deal with Minnesota-based coffee chain Caribou Coffee that will bring Toast solutions to 500 Caribou locations.
Fairtrade Joins ILO’s Global Coalition for Social Justice
Fairtrade International this week announced it is partnering in the Global Coalition for Social Justice, a coalition-driven initiative of the UN’s International Labour Organization.

Portland, Oregon-based roastery equipment maker Sōvda named the Guatemala City-based branch of Torch Coffee Roasters as its new distributor for Latin America.
