This year, dozens of new facilities dedicated to roasting specialty coffee opened across the United States. While some are led by seasoned industry veterans and others by newcomers, nearly all the businesses have stated a commitment to quality and sustainable sourcing as core priorities.
Country-specific programs launched with connections to Peru, Puerto Rico, Guatemala and more, while several new companies this year are catering to demand in the luxe coffee market, browning high-priced competition winners as well as coffees subjected to evermore inventive processing methods.
