Peabody, Massachusetts-based Atomic Coffee Roasters unveiled an explosive new look in late 2024 through a comprehensive brand refresh.
As expressed on bags of roasted coffee, new Atomic elements include a redesigned logo, vibrant colorways to identify specific coffee types, new artwork and name changes for multiple blends.
The guiding mantra behind the refresh was “spread positive energy,” according to Atomic, which has grown throughout the years into an expansive roastery in Peabody and a cold brew facility in nearby Danvers.
The coffee company worked with the boutique design firm Center Aligned to bring the new brand to life, according to Atomic Coffee Roasters Vice President of Operations Spencer Mahoney.
“Atomic reimagined their branding while staying true to some core elements, like the magnified atom on the front of the bag, which may look like an abstract pattern at a quick glance,” Atomic said in a statement shared with DCN. “And their astronaut icon, representing their ‘Space Cadet’ blend, is carried on beyond just this one coffee and has become a symbol of Atomic as a whole.”
