Italy-based De’Longhi Group announced an executive realignment atop its professional coffee division, resulting in a new division CEO, a new CEO for La Marzocco and a new general manager for Eversys.
Guido Bernardinelli, who became international CEO of La Marzocco in 2018, was named De’Longhi professional division CEO, while Lorenzo Carboni, who has served as La Marzocco sales director since 2012, moves into the La Marzocco CEO position. Additionally, Stefano Barato is now general manager of Eversys.
The group did not publicly note any departures as part of the restructuring.
De’Longhi Group’s parent company, De’Longhi Industrial S.A., became a majority shareholder of Italian espresso equipment giant La Marzocco in May 2021. That same year, De’Longhi acquired a 100% share of Swiss automatic coffee equipment specialist Eversys for approximately $160 million.
De’Longhi Group paid $374 million to acquire the La Marzocco shares as part of a 2024 deal that combined La Marzocco and Eversys into a single entity.
Since that time, De’Longhi has credited the professional coffee division with helping to grow overall sales for the group, which remains largely focused on home appliances within its global network.
In an announcement of the new appointments, De’Longhi Group CEO Fabio de’ Longhi said, “This organizational strengthening in the professional division will allow us to further exploit the market leadership and excellent technological innovation capabilities of both La Marzocco and Eversys, making the most of common resources and sharing knowledge and best practices useful for delivering more value for the Groups.”
