Oakland’s Heirloom Coffee Launches Clean Craft Platform

Oakland, California-based Heirloom Coffee Roasters has launched Clean Craft, an in-house marketing platform built around regenerative organic sourcing, product testing and transparency.. The coffees are promoted as Regenerative Organic Certified, with third-party lab testing for pesticides, herbicides, glyphosate, mold toxins, heavy metals and other contaminants. Heirloom said its Clean Craft coffees are now available at numerous grocery outlets throughout the United States.  

Wacaco Introduces Prestina Manual Brewer

Hong Kong-based portable coffee equipment maker Wacaco is introducing the Prestina, a compact manual immersion brewer in which the cup is integrated into the brewing mechanism. The Prestina comes in Clay Pink, Coal Black and Sage Green.

Black Rifle Coffee Regains NYSE Compliance

Black Rifle Coffee Company has regained compliance with the New York Stock Exchange’s minimum share price requirement. The Salt Lake City-based company said the NYSE notified it on June 1 that its Class A common stock met the exchange’s $1 minimum closing share price and 30-trading-day average requirements as of May 29.

University of Trieste Joins TNG Coffee Project Launch in Tanzania

An official delegation from the University of Trieste participated in the launch of a 36-month coffee development project in Mbeya, Tanzania. The project, “Towards the next generation of sustainable quality coffee producers in South Tanzania,” is designed to reach at least 12,000 coffee producers in southern Tanzania.

Seattle Drinkware Company MiiR Releases 2025 Impact Report

Seattle-based drinkware maker MiiR has released its 2025 Impact Report, marking the company’s 15th anniversary while outlining progress in recycled materials, carbon measurement, employee giving and nonprofit partnerships. The company said 77% of its product line included some recycled content by the end of 2025, up from 70% in 2024.

Aillio Community Booth Heads to Coffee Fest Chicago

Coffee roasting equipment maker Aillio is bringing its staff-free “community booth” to Coffee Fest Chicago, taking place June 12-13 at Navy Pier. The trade show booth will feature Aillio Bullet roaster users sharing experiences. Said Aillio Head of Sales and Marketing Jacob Juul in a message to DCN, “Our users often end up taking over our booths at coffee expos anyway, so why not just go all out and let them run the show entirely?”

Peet’s Opens Applications for Honorary Chief Playlist Officer

Emeryville, California-based Peet’s Coffee has opened applications for an honorary Chief Playlist Officer role tied to the launch of its Middle Ground half-caff blend. The contest runs through June 30, while the company’s summer menu, including Sparkling Energy Drinks and Protein Oat Lattes, is available at participating Peet’s locations through August 18.

Luckin Hosts Coffee Omakase in New York with Barista Champion

Luckin Coffee hosted a “coffee omakase” event June 2-3 at one of its New York City locations, according to a Restaurant Business report. The event featured 2022 World Barista Champion Anthony Douglas leading guests through a five-drink tasting and lessons on growing regions, coffee quality, latte art and roast styles.

Former Cafe Owner Releases Coffee Shop Memoir

Former chocolate-industry marketer and Cafe Chocolat Founder Gjergj Dollani has released the book “Grounds: What a Coffee Shop Taught Me That a Career Never Could.” The memoir focuses on building and losing the Washington, D.C., coffee and chocolate shop while reflecting on entrepreneurship, failure and the lessons that remained after the business closed.

Wavelength Roasting Hacienda La Minita Coffee for Revival

Shirley, Massachusetts-based Wavelength Coffee Roasters has partnered with Revival Cafe and Kitchen to supply roasted Hacienda La Minita coffee from Costa Rica’s Tarrazú region across Revival’s six greater Boston-area locations.
