StoneX Acquiring Colombian Coffee Trader Integra

Global financial services and commodities company StoneX Group said it signed an agreement to acquire Colombian green coffee processor and exporter Integra, expanding StoneX’s coffee operations in Colombia.

The acquisition would be made through StoneX’s Switzerland-based trading business, with Integra joining the StoneX Supply and Trading physical commodities division, according to StoneX. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2015 by coffee trader Manuel Rueda, Integra operates the La Bonita coffee mill in Amagá, Antioquia, about 40 kilometers from Medellín. The company also maintains a sales operation in Miami and a sourcing network extending into Cauca, Huila, Tolima, Risaralda and Quindío.

Integra said it made its first exports to the United States in 2016 and invested in the La Bonita mill the following year. The company reported exporting approximately 100,000 60-kilogram bags in 2020, growing to more than 200,000 bags in 2022.

The mill carries certifications or compliance designations including Organic, Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade International, Fair Trade USA 4C and Colombia’s Protected Geographical Indication, according to StoneX and Integra.

For StoneX, the transaction would add an established Colombian export operation and physical processing facility to a coffee trading business that has grown rapidly since its launch in 2020.

“Integra gives StoneX a ‘boots on the ground’ presence at origin in Colombia, a licensed exporter, an owned processing mill and a team with deep grower relationships,” StoneX Supply and Trading CEO Brent Grecian said in an announcement of the deal. “It’s a natural extension of our physical coffee business, and it’s expected to contribute from day one while giving our clients a more direct, traceable and sustainable supply chain.”

Integra’s Rueda said the company will retain its existing team and sourcing model following the transaction.

Beyond coffee, New York-based StoneX is known globally as a financial services and commodities trading company, with activities including futures trading, hedging and risk management. The company, formerly known as INTL FCStone, adopted the StoneX name in 2020.

For many U.S. roasters, the StoneX name may be most visible through StoneX Specialty Coffee, the Seattle-based green coffee importing business launched following StoneX’s acquisition of Mercon Specialty in 2024. StoneX expanded the specialty coffee business in 2025 with a dedicated green coffee hub in Kansas City, including warehousing, a cupping lab and roasting and training space.
