Buona Caffe, a small roastery based in Augusta, Ga., has opened a new roasting facility, including its first retail space.
The 1,500-square foot facility at 1858 Central Avenue includes seating for 38, a fairly traditional coffee drink menu with a range of pour over and espresso options, as well as pastries from Southern Scratch, a bakery from nearby Washington, Ga.
Former home roasters, John and Pat Curry began selling beans roasted to order in 2010, seeing continued growth as Augusta’s only local coffee roasting company. The couple donates 50 cents from every 12-ounce bag it sells to the P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water program.
