The team behind the venerable Minneapolis coffee purveyor Spyhouse Coffee has opened a stunning third location, including a roastery.
Located inside a former mattress warehouse, the new space at 945 Broadway St. NE features loads of reclaimed materials — including 3,000 board feet of barn wood from Amish families in Wisconsin — all of which can be seen through floor-to-ceiling windows and an open-air veranda with outdoor seating. The shop opened on Monday, Sept. 23.

The facility also represents the first roasting works for 13-year-old Spyhouse and its owner Christian Johnson. The other two locations have most recently been serving coffees from the likes of Stumptown Coffee Roasters, Verve Coffee Roasters and Cafe Grumpy — including Hario V-60 and Chemex pour overs.
