Hoping to make the judges certification for coffee competitions more accessible, Dublin-based World Coffee Events has licensed its Judges Certification Workshops model to its two parent organizations, the Specialty Coffee Association of America and Speciality Coffee Association of Europe.
During the 2013-2014 event season, the SCAA and SCAE will run judges workshops worldwide, either directly or through their global education partners. The certification will still be officially authorized and issued by World Coffee Events. WCE annually hosts events including the World Barista Championship, the World Latte Art Championship, the World Coffee In Good Spirits Championship, the World Cup Tasters Championship, the World Brewers Cup and the World Coffee Roasting Championship.
