Unannounced, Blue Bottle Coffee opened its sixth New York outpost yesterday, on Dean Street in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. Eater New York reports that the store was giving away free coffee yesterday, with a grand opening planned for tomorrow.
Blue Bottle has been incredibly busy on both coasts, earlier this month opening its spacious store inside the W.C. Morse building in Oakland, and opening a Hell’s Kitchen outpost late last year. The company also has plans to open a small store at 54 West 40th St., across from Bryant Park in Manhattan.
This may only be the beginning, as the company secured a $25 million investment earlier this year.
