Despite the impending winter, where each frosty gust blustering in from Lake Erie will weather the soul down to mere shell, things are going real good in Cleveland right now.
The Browns are alone atop the AFC North Division for the first time in 19 years, Lebron is back and, more importantly, Cleveland was just recognized among the nation’s best coffee cities.

Many of the faces behind that last designation can now be found in the Cleveland Barista Calendar, a simple, fun concept with a cause. Nine of the cities top shops collaborated on the calendar project, all with the goal to support the Cafe Femenino Foundation, the 10-year-old nonprofit working to help empower and improve the quality of life of women in the coffeelands.
Shot by Cleveland native Angela Merendino and produced by Sarah Antonik at Peter Larson Photography, the calendar features 30 Cleveland-area baristas from these shops, where the calendars are available for purchase: Phoenix Coffee Company, The Root Cafe, Rising Star Coffee Roasters, Gypsy Beans & Bakery, Loop Cafe, Dewey’s Coffee, Katz Club Diner, and both Erie Island Coffee locations.

La Marzocco, Caruso’s Coffee Roasters, Torani, Serengeti Trading and Jakprints covered production costs for the project, so all proceeds could be reserved for The Femenino Foundation.
